Family photographs from Marrinan’s childhood in Ireland are projected onto the silhouette of her head and photographed within her present-day family home. Images from the 1970s dissolve into shifting fields of refracted color as the projector moves, bringing the past into an unstable present.
The familiar becomes elusive. Memory appears not as a fixed record, but as something layered, altered, and continually reimagined.
Echoes of childhood, where fact and feeling coexist.
